Overview
ESI
was established in 1992 as an employee-owned California sub-chapter
S, Corporation and maintains a corporate office in Campbell,
and a satellite office in Oakland, California. The Company is
certified by the Department of General Services, Office of Small
and Minority Business and by the City of Oakland as a Small Business
Enterprise (SBE). The multi-cultural and mixed gender makeup
of our organization reflects our nondiscriminatory policies.

professional consulting and engineering services are backed by
coverage from an A.M. Best A-rated, on-shore, California-admitted,
insurance carrier. The limits of our coverage are:

$2,000,000 in commercial general liability insurance
· $1,000,000 in errors and omissions (E&O) professional
liability insurance
· $1,000,000 in California workman's compensation insurance
ESI's
adheres to United States and California Environmental Protection
Agency (EPA) protocols and industry standards for quality control
and quality assurance. ESI principals stay involved with all
projects from start to end and act as the primary liaison with
the client and any regulatory agency officials. All technical
and project completion reports are reviewed by a California-registered
professional engineer, or a certified asbestos or lead professional.

ESI
has established a health and safety (H&S) policy which is
designed to prevent all job-related illnesses and injuries. ESI's
H&S policy which is setup in strict accordance with the Occupational
Safety and Health Administration (OSHA), 29 Code of Federal Regulations
(CFR), Part 1910.120, protocols, is designed to protect workers
and the public during its activities at contaminated sites. All
ESI's field personnel regularly attend EPA and OSHA-regulated
training classes and are annually refreshed in accordance with
all requirements.
A
project specific health & safety plan is prepared by a senior
project manager prior to site deployment. This will assure maximum
protection of our employees as well as the health and safety
of others involved with the project.
Furthermore,
in accordance with Cal-OSHA regulations, ESI has implemented
an Injury and Illness Prevention Program (IIPP) to further protect
its employees and personnel. A copy of this plan will be made
available to all clients, upon request.
